About Steven E. Maikoski
After working with political influence groups for years, such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other letter writing groups, I became very interested in what our government should be doing, not what everybody was trying to make it do. The more I studied, the more I was impressed with our Constitution and the work that went into its design and implementation. So I started reading our founding documents and the many writings of the founding fathers. It was worth every minute that I put into it.
I have learned that our government should be guided by the Constitution, not enterprising politicians and greedy citizens. The latter can destroy our nation and take your property–as history has proven. My goal in this next book is to educate all on what our government should be doing and to reverse the narrative that has piloted the decay of our government.
All my studies in government and history have been autodidactic. The classes are longer and the education is quite varied. I have quite a library.
I was born at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. My father was in the US Air Force, so we moved a lot. We spent four years in the Canal Zone in Panama, then when I enlisted I spent almost four years in Western Germany. While there I learned to speak German and undertook sky diving with a passion, jumping at airshows and bierfests.
Later I took photos for many Olympic sports, especially basketball. Although I did this for 35 years, I have never been to an olympic event. That’s life.
Now I live in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
